I am so fickle. Here we are in TypePad, where hopefully the living is a little easier....
Lots of testing ahead, with likely very little real content. Is this a link?

Here I am testing, to see if I can figure out how to make a link open in a new window. Let's see...
Hey, that worked. Trouble is, that process was a minor pain in the ass. I must be able to automate it somehow. Will have to talk to the guru.
Boooo. He says there's no way to automate that he knows of. I'll say again - booooo. Well, at least I know how to do it. Surely I can get used to switching out of the WYSIWYG to the HTML editor to put in one stupid little word every time I want to post a link. Right? Right?
So check this out. I'm actually going to email* the MT people to request this be fixed in the next version, which is in beta right now as I understand it. Do you think they will immediately make me as a PERSON WHO KNOWS NOTHING? I picture a scene like from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the REAL one, not that Johnny Depp as Michael Jackson nonsense) where my email gets put on a scale like a golden egg. The arrow will point to either "ONE OF US" or "TOTAL IMPOSTOR". As my email flies down the chute (shut up - yes, the very text will FLY), one Oompa Loompa will turn to another and say, "Let's fuck with her and tell her that in order to do all the cool stuff she'd like to do, she'll have to learn something like PERL. Then we'll watch her head explode. Heh."
*Ok, I'm not emailing anyone. Turns out there's a whole forum, and that's apparently how all the smart kids are communicating these days. Quandary: Do I admit there that I don't know HTML? Or is that too much like blurting out that you're a freshman if a cool senior comes to talk to you on the first day of high school? Not that I know what the consequences of that would be, or anything. I just hope nobody calls me "newbie".

Blah blah testing blah. Where's my damn picture?
Just to be clear, I did not take this photo. No, wait, I DID take this photo. You can tell because the camera angle, it is tilted. But I didn't take it on my camera. It's a bit noisy, and I is too dum to figure out how to reduce it in Photoshop right now. All my mental resources are right here on this page, you know.
Side note to anyone out there (why would I even say that?) who might pipe up with, "But Robyn, Elements TOTALLY has a noise reduction filter and if you'd just pay attention and APPLY YOURSELF you'd find it, along with world peace, and all your problems would be solved.". Well, thanks, Mr. or Ms. Nancy Know-it-all, I'll have you know I DID find it, and I DID apply it, and it did NOTHING. So what do you have to say now, huh?

Hello, blogland. I get text posting, and so far I think I'm happy happy happy with my new MT interface, but it's time to check my mad photo posting skillz (I didn't just type "skillz", did I? Well, there it is, so I must have. Can't delete it now! Cause I don't know how!) (Just kidding. Of course I know how. This is me attempting cute. Is it working?)
Did that work? I don't know. I have the little red X in a box of doom. Let's preview....
Aha! Thanks to handy dandy preview, I see that it did not. Booooo. I'm going to post this anyway, just because it's fun to see a running log of my foibles and embarrassments.
On a side note, I am going to come out and admit that I just looked up "embarrass" to make sure I was spelling it right. Turns out I was, but still. Oh, how far I've fallen.
