I'm crawling out of the woodwork; man, I have not been keeping up on my blog reading or posting.

Anyway, this is a fun post; it's like getting to peek in your windows without being, well, a stalker. Love learning all this fun stuff about you. I may have to steal this idea because I have nothing to write about.

Heidi

yeah, i'm gonna steal it, too.

i didn't know you were 34. haha. (i've got til may, baby, and i'm gonna milk it while it lasts. woohoo! 33 rocks!) (not really, 33 sucks it, but 34? i'll admit i don't look forward to any of my future ages.)

sounds like you had a pretty great year. i'll see what i can actually remember from mine. thanks!

Imez

Okay, I can only read ten at a time. It is the law, that's why.

There must be a date you remember. Or start backward, with the event, and place it to the date?

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?

worked on x-mas day and even though it was a good day at work, it still sucked because I missed my family so much it hurt.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I was born on New years and the one thing I've learned by having my birthday on that day is that you should never make resolutions because very rarely are they ever completed.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Well seeing as I work on a birth center, several of my work friends had babies and one of my best work friends is about 12 weeks pregnant right now.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My grandfather.

5. What countries did you visit?

Haven't left the country since 2007 when I went to London for my graduation present.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

the ability to save more money before I move.

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

oh lord, my memory ain't that good!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

completing my residency at work

9. What was your biggest failure?

probably saving as much money as possible, i've got rent, bills, groceries,a car payment, gas, would you like me to keep going, I can!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Man let me tell you, I had a horrible cold about 2 months ago and lost about 6 pounds in 12 hours from a tyranical stomach flu about 1 month ago

11. What was the best thing you bought?

I haven't bought myself anything to substantial recently so I'm not sure.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

My nephew and niece

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

everyeones (including my own)during the political elections, politics always bring out the worst in people.

14. Where did most of your money go?

As stated above - rent, bills, groceries, car payment, gas, etc. pretty standard stuff I guess.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Well, I got really excited for the 6th Harry Potter, but then it got moved to July 2009 so that was a bummer man!

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?

Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours"

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier I guess
b) thinner or fatter? A little thinner actaully, but I'm still trying to lose about 8 more pounds.
c) richer or poorer? Maybe richer, but all of my money gets spent on the stuff I've already mentioned so their usually isn't a lot left over for me.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

Worked out more.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

Driving to work.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

At work, but I gotta admit for having to work it was a really good day, but like I said before I missed my family so much.

21. Did you fall in love in 2008?

Ummmmmm......not that I know of.

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Because of you, Robyn, I'm addicted to "Chuck" as well, and embarrassingly enough "Most Haunted"

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

Still not a fan of Britney Spears, I must admit.

24. What was the best book you read?

Since I read it at the same time as my sister (which is something I've never done before) would probably be "The Twilight Saga" because I got to enjoy it and have something mainstream to discuss with my sister, I've got so many books to catch up on right now so I will have a lot more to name in 2009.

5. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Paramore, their my favorite band right now, I can't stop listening to their "Riot!" album!

26. What did you want and get?

Got what I wanted for x-mas, amazing pots and pans, toaster, and coffee pot, blackberry phone (actually was a birthday present, but oh well) and a NEW HAIRCUT!!!! YAAAAAY!!!!

27. What did you want and not get?

I can't think of anything. (Good lord, that sounds so selfish, that's so not how I mean it though. What I mean is that, I'm not hurting for anything right now in the way of physical possessions, I'm good!)

28. What was your favorite film of this year?

I loved "The Dark Knight" and "Mamma Mia!"

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

Absolutely nothing and I was AWESOME!!!! I'm 25, I'm getting old aren't I.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

no freaking idea!

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?

Well, let me put it to you this way, my style sense over the last year or so would allow me to do runway for nursing scrubs.

32. What kept you sane?

The hope that I would be orienting to labor and delivery soon. Still hasn't happened yet, but I was told spring time for orientation, so i will keep hoping.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

I'm taking it that we are to interpret the word "fancy" in english slang meaning to have a "crush on someone", so I would have to say I really am not sure.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?

I'm not going into this again because Robyn already know my biggest issue from this last years elections and my views on it as well. Leaving it there.

35. Who did you miss?

My sister, brother-in-law, and niece and nephew.

36. Who was the best new person you met?

Penni

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.

I can't think of anything too profound to say at the moment.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

"How many times can I break til I shatter?
Over the line can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
All that I feel us the realness I'm faking
Taking my time but it's time that I'm wasting
Always turn the car around"
- O.A.R. "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)
