In spite of that groundbreaking news, it looks to be a quiet day. I'm still unsure of my plans, except to say that, well, this will be my only blog post today. And that I'll be getting a new dishwasher between 2 and 5 this afternoon. No, the dishwasher is not a birthday present - it just happens to be getting delivered today. I guess that means I also know I'll be emptying the current, sad sack of a half-functioning dishwasher so that they don't haul off my pretty Anthropologie plates inside. That would make me cry, and nobody wants that on their birthday.
Right! My birthday! In a pathetic effort to assess the wee tiny readership of this blog, I kindly request (demand?) (beg?) (act nonchalantly like I don't CARE if you do or not?) that you, YES YOU, leave me a comment and wish me the Happiest of Birthdays.
Come on. It's the least you can do. If you don't, you will rot in hell. Or, if you don't believe in hell, you will be forced to sit and watch the new 90210 for all eternity.
Birthday duck says, "Get off your ass and leave a comment!"
I already left you warm birthday wishes on your FaceBook wall, but I'll spend the extra dough and present you with EVEN MORE birthday wishes HERE.
Lord knows my karma doesn't need a pissed off duck quacking up one side of my ass and down the other. ;o)
Do something fun! Do nothing fun! It's your day, so you get to decide!

I made no such statement about posting a birthday comment. I was minding my own business when this mad woman with a camera shoved it in my face and FLASH, next thing I know I can't see anything and I stumbled around and fell in the lake.
I hope that dishwasher fell on your foot.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife. I am glad you finally got a day to do nothing...you have not had one of those for at least 4 days now and I know how cranky you can get.
Hopefully, at least part of your day was spent writing a note of apology to that angry duck.
Love always, the family supporter and doer of useless things.

Ahem, birthday duck imposter: There was no flash involved in that photo. The REAL Birthday Duck would know that.
If there's any apology to be made, it's that I'm sorry you're being used for nefarious purposes.
To all the rest of you (especially my loving husband): Too kind, too kind. Many thanks.

Aw, Robyn, I'm a day late wishing you Happy Birthday! Hope it was a good one, and I know how old you are.

I am also late in wishing you Happy Birthday (I was away), but since I'm scared of that duck...

Happy (late) birthday! Found you via mamapop, this is my first time here! (It was your comment on Jason's post that got me: that you were going to "reimagine" it... that was brilliant.) Also, I'm going to steal your line about writing to your "imaginary readers." That is GOLD. Thanks for the laughs and hope you got some cake!
