Hey, kids! It's meme time!! (I was tagged by Kate. Thanks, Kate, for the Monday morning topic. Otherwise, I'd have to talk about breakfast or my sick kid. You've saved us all from interminable boredom.) Here are Six Unremarkable Things About Me:
1. I love organizing paper. Alphabetizing, especially. Chronological filing would be my next favorite. Also fun? Shredding and getting rid of old paper. I find this all EXTREMELY satisfying and sometimes think I really would be happiest just filing away in some office somewhere. I used to play secretary when I was a kid. Sadly, you would think this would mean that my house is meticulously organized. You would be sorely mistaken. I can't really explain that one. Related to this, I suppose, is my love for school supply time, and collecting notebooks, and being a bit of a pen snob.
2. If you were to come up to me with chocolate in one hand and a piece of bacon in the other and offer one to me, I would (after kissing you for being such a delightful friend) pretty much always choose the bacon.
3. I am convinced that completely flat shoes are unflattering on me and do my best to avoid wearing them.
4. Any coffee I drink has to be strong enough to withstand the onslaught of flavored creamer I will unleash upon it.
5. I cannot sleep in pants, or socks. They twist when I roll about, and this is unacceptable. Sometimes, if I am really cold, I might fall asleep in cozy pajamas and socks, only to awaken in the middle of the night to tear off the pants and socks, thoroughly disgusted with them.
6. I'm pretty sure, I overuse, commas. Do you, think?
Wow. Scintillating stuff, I know. I do my best for y'all on this sleepy Monday morning. I'm supposed to tag some people now, but I'm not going to because - well, not many people I know blog, and sometimes people don't enjoy doing this type of thing. So, if you have a blog and you're reading this, consider yourself tagged. Feel free to do the meme and link it here in the comments, so I can come see.
Hi, I also, almost always, overpunctuate, also. I would, rather, do, that, than, you know, appear, not intelligent or have my usual, run on, sentences.
Glad we have a chance to get to know each other. It is NEVER too early for School House Rock. I also bought the DVD for my nieces. I cannot wait to have them over to play it for them.
My 14 year old son, on the other hand, was all, "mom, shut your door. your obsession with School House Rock on YouTube this weekend is driving me crazy"!

Okey dokey, Robyn. I accepted your invitation, and have written six things about me. I would have done it on Monday, but I had a couple of birthdays to write about.

Bacon over chocolate? That is just so wrong. But pen snob? Totally with you on that one.
Thanks for playing along!
